Indulgence cruise/tour of Italy - Designed for the mature single traveler - 20 days

This tour, as stated, has been designed specifically for the mature, discerning solo traveler. Most people don’t wish to travel on their own, nor do they wish to be the only single traveller in a group – this is the tour for you! A high standard tour and cruise of Italy where you will be treated as the important individual that you are. Alpha Travel will also assist you find another person to share with you, if you would like to avoid paying the single costs. The tour is also totally open for couples, as we know you won’t want to miss out on such a fabulous holiday! Your stays include: Lake Como (Italy) - 3 nights Como is the jewel of the Italian Lakes District, with a very relaxed style. On arrival into Milan airport you are transferred to your hotel in Como. A ferry ride to the middle of the Lake is included on day tour, with a long fabulous lunch included on the island. This is a lovely way to get to meet your fellow travelers. The next day is free for you to enjoy the many wonderful tours of Como – perhaps spend the day in Bellagio close by. Cruising on the luxury cruise ship "Nautica" for 12 days On 24th July, a transfer by coach is included to Venice, where you board the ship. The Nautica is a medium-size cruise ship with an enviable reputation for excellent service and outstanding food. The cabins are beautifully appointed, and of course all meals, entertainment and gratuities for the 12 days are included. The cruise visits: Dubrovnik (Croatia); Kotor (Montenegro); Corfu (Greece); Taormina (Sicily); Sorrento/Capri (Italy); Amalfi/Positano; Florence/Pisa; Monte Carlo (Monaco); Cinque Terre (Italy); Portofino – the cruise finishes in Civitavecchia, the port of Rome. From Civitavecchia our Tuscan host will transfer us to the wonderful Monte Amiata ‘albergo’ - Le Macinaie. Southern Tuscany - 3 nights. During your stay in Tuscany, there will be visits to some of the most beautiful Tuscan villages and countrysides of the area. All meals (wine included) , tours and gratuities are included, and we finish with dinner each evening at the hotel. This is a very pleasant experience, as the hotel is family run, and all meals are made with fresh seasonal ingredients. The family, and this particular area of Tuscany, will stay with you forever. Rome - 2 nights. Your tour ends with 2 nights in Rome. The time is left at your leisure to enjoy the ‘eternal city’, however tours can be organised if required. As with all Alpha Travel tours, this tour has been put together for a small group with reasonable amounts of time allocated for the travellers to be independent and pursue their personal interests. The pace is leisurely and we use our own coaches which allow a certain amount of flexibility. With a combination of cruising, visiting quaint towns in Austria and the Czech republic, the beauty of the Swiss Alps and the magnificence of Lake Maggiore, this is a perfect European package. The tour departs Perth on 17th May, 2011 and incorporates the following :- Vienna - 2 nights Durnstein - Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned here in 1192 and from this small village on the Danube we cross over to the Czech Republic for an overnight stay in Cesky Krumlov. This is village is a World Heritage site and you have plenty of time to explore at leisure. Prague - 1 night Melnik – here you embark on your ship for a 7 night cruise on the Viking Schumann. Whilst on board, all your shore excursions are included, along with wine at dinner, all meals and any entertainment . This cruise visits : Litomerice, Saxon Switzerland, Dresden, Meissen and Torgau, Wittenburg, Dessaur and Magdeburg. Potsdam and Berlin – 2 nights A half day city tour in Berlin takes in the Berlin Wall, check point Charlie and the Bradenburg Gate. Again you have leisure time to explore this interesting city. Zurich - 1 night Zermatt - 2 nights Leaving Zurich we drive through the beautiful Alpine mountain scenery to the typical Swiss village of Tasch. Here we leave the coach behind and board a Mountain train to climb the last few kilometres up to Zermatt; a cluster of rustic chalets beneath the Matterhorn. St Moritz - 1 night Stresa - 2 nights The coach travels to the beautiful lake town of Stresa on Lake Maggiore , explore the town, sample the restaurants and visit the island of Isola Bella by ferry.
